Turbojet Paint Roller Washer
Interior wall painting is probably the most common DIY project there is. Most of the time, the tool of choice for this job is the roller. When the job is finished or it’s time for a break, there are really three choices about what to do with the roller: clean it, wrap it in plastic to keep the paint wet, or throw the roller away.
Good quality rollers are not inexpensive, so I’m inclined to clean them and keep them on hand.
The only downside to this option is that roller cleaning can be a time-consuming and sometimes messy operation. So, when some clever inventor comes along with an accessory that makes that cleaning job faster and easier, I’m inclined to pay attention.
The Turbojet roller washer screws onto the end of an ordinary garden hose. The device is shaped somewhat like a donut with slits around the inside hole. T
he roller is slipped into the top and the water is turned on with a convenient thumb valve. The inside slits direct high-pressure streams of water into the roller nap, flushing out the paint. Moving the roller up and down thoroughly cleans it from one end to the other.
In less than a minute, the roller is in like-new condition and ready for the next use.
