When restoring or repairing furniture, there are often times when it’s necessary to glue together awkwardly shaped pieces. One way to do this is by 
creating clamps from old bed or upholstery springs.
If you don’t have an old spring lying around you can usually get one from a local upholstery shop or extract one yourself from a dilapidated sofa or chair.
The real beauty of this clamping solution is that, in addition to being very inexpensive, you have the ability to make the clamps to exactly the sizes you need.
