How to Repair a Gouge, Nick or Dent in a Door or Frame

Quick & Permanent Repair for Gouges in Door Frames, Cabinets & More

Gouges and large chips on the corners of door frames, jambs, windowsills, and the like really can't be properly repaired with air-drying wood fillers and putties. The problem is those materials simply don't get hard enough or bond well enough to stand up to the kind of use or abuse to which they are often subjected. There are a couple of tricks to working with this material and getting good results. The video covers them. Polyester resin is inexpensive and available in home centers, hardware, and auto parts stores.
